Marry Me Chicken

This succulent Tuscan style chicken dish took the internet by storm back in 2022 and continues to do so today. During 2022, it was the 3rd most googled food recipe and it's not hard to understand why! This dish combines everything you love in a pasta dish. Tender pieces of chicken bathed in a silken cream sauce bursting with bright notes of sundried tomatoes, on top of a bed of angel hair pasta.

Recipe

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour, shaking off any excess.

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter, melting on medium heat. Make sure pan is evenly coated with oil mixture, so that you can brown the chicken.

  3. Brown the chicken (do not overcrowd and work in batches if needed) for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer onto a plate, cover, and set aside.

  4. Sauté the garlic for a minute or until it's fragrant. Add the chicken stock, and deglaze the pan scraping any bits stuck to the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon.

  5. Adjust the heat to medium-low, and add the heavy cream and the freshly grated parmesan cheese to the skillet. Allow the sauce to simmer for a couple of minutes, then season with chili flakes, thyme, and oregano.

  6. Season with salt and pepper to your liking, adding the sundried tomatoes to the mixture.

  7. Place the chicken back in the sauce and let the sauce simmer and thicken for a few more minutes.

  8. While chicken is simmering, cook your angel hair pasta, according to the directions.

  9. When finished, plate a serving of angel hair pasta, topping the pasta with the chicken and cream sauce.

  10. Garnish the dish with fresh ribbons of basil and serve.
